What is CPU (central Processing Unit) ?

  1. Processing device means calculation comparison and decision
  2. The processing device are central Processing Unit that is CPU also called microprocessor
  3. Microprocessor is small chip in computers which receive Input and provide output
  4. It is composed of silicon and contain millions of transistor for example Pentium dual Core, Core 2duo, Core i3, i5 ,i7
  5. It is it consists of ALU, CU, and MU.

ALU (arithmetic logic unit)

Does all the operation as per the direction whether arithmetical or logical upon the data or information and send that to memory unit from there the control unit sends back the result to the output media through buses as per the users direction

CU control unit

  1. Decode instructions and determines which is next to be executed
  2. Control unit is a part of the processor that is in charge and it directs the computer system to execute stored program instructions

MU memory unit

  1. In this unit the data are store during the processing
  2. Its speed is faster access than memory
  3. it is far faster than main memory while execution it is very near to processor
